A Fresh Start
Welcome back to LillianZahra, and welcome if you’re new! My site has had a little bit of an overhaul and I’ve (finally) made the move to WordPress. This might be the longest I’ve gone without blogging since I first started in 2009 and I’m happy to be back. And don’t worry about this post being on its lonesome – selected highlights from my archieves will be back soon, maybe minus the pictures of lipsticks taken against a backdrop of LSE’s finest student accommodation’s carpet…
I changed my blog name from my previous LilyLipstick moniker at the start of 2019 and felt inspired to start blogging again, although I still felt the constraints of the Blogger platform and wanted a cleaner looking site with more options to grow it as I figure out my next steps online and offline.
I’ve been working with Laura Agar Wilson on her Kickstarter program to launch my new website and I’m so happy with how it’s turned out. Her tutorials have been really easy to follow and it’s been great to work with someone who’s blogging journey I’ve followed from the near-beginning, and who now has a successful career in both health and business coaching.
This overhaul has come at a great time as I started studying with IIN at the start of the year and I’m now at the halfway point. I’m currently taking a break from the 9-5 (if only it were) and will be doing my Yoga Teacher Training in August in Bali so my life is looking pretty different from this time last year. I have no idea what things will look like twelve months from now and that’s exciting, scary and almost definitely worth blogging about.
I can’t wait to get back into regular posting, having an online diary and unscrambling my thoughts through blogging has been a sole constant in my life for nearly ten years – here’s to many more!
